Homestead offers assistance through psychosocial rehabilitation to help overcome the functional, interpersonal, and environmental obstacles that can accompany a serious psychiatric disability. Practical life skills such as cooking, hygiene, and medication administration can help to restore independence for our residents.
Homestead Christian Care is a non-profit charitable organization primarily serving those with mental illness through affordable housing and rehabilitation services. We assist our residents in meeting personal recovery goals and improving quality of life through life skills training, social involvement, and spiritual growth.
To help you, as well as Homestead Christian Care, determine viability and assist in implementation of your ministry ideas, particularly in the area of Special Needs and Supportive Housing, Homestead has developed a "Resource Team".
Quality housing with support services provides a strong basis for an individual's recovery from mental illness. Homestead Christian Care offers a number of different programs and facilities, allowing residents to achieve their goals for independence.
Homestead Christian Care are involved in meaningful activities which enhance the programs provided and contribute to the well-being of the individuals whom we serve. Volunteers are an integral part of Homestead's ministry. There are numerous opportunities for you to become involved.
