Food Drive

Food Drives!

Are you looking for a different way to get involved in your community?

What about organizing a food drive for Homestead?  Homestead depends on donated food to lower food costs in our residential care homes, and thereby provide other services to residents.  Here are some places you can do a food drive:

  • In your church
  • In your school
  • In you small group/community group
  • In your neighbourhood

Another neat way to do a food drive is to have a 'Reverse Food drive'. This is when an offering plate is passed around the church and each family/individual pulls out a small piece of paper on which is listed a much needed food item.  The following week, that individual brings in that item of food and it is then delivered to the closest residence.
