Homestead Christian Care was established in 1974 to provide Christian mental health services in Hamilton. For many years services were provided through a six-bed home on Locke Street South. In 2000, the Locke St. residence was sold and a 25 bed facility on Wentworth St. S. was purchased. Since 2001, we have been expanding to support communities across Ontario. We have expanded our services to include programs ranging from Residential Care Facilities to Supported Independent Living.
Our goal is to provide individuals with quality affordable housing and support in the communities they call home. With ongoing government cutbacks and policy changes come ever more opportunities to meet local needs with local assistance. Homestead continues to expand as we receive invitations from communities to help provide necessary services.
